Jersey stay at the Club Hotel and Spa + Jersey day trips.

Located in St Helier, 10 mins from the airport. The hotel is a 5 star rating. The reception room was nice and warming, there is a lift to the rooms. The breakfast and bar area are on the same level, the hotels restaurant – Bohemia is on the bottom level.

Overall the room was nice, average space for the room type a double deluxe. Tea making facilities/shower amenities were included. The room also had two small bottles of water. We had room 312, the room was noisy, road noise, other guests noises (thin walls). Bring ear plugs.

The spa facilities were nice, a heated indoor pool, sauna and steam room

The room service was good. Within a reasonable time, polite enough. Minibar was well stocked.

Upon checking our invoice midway through stay we had an unknown charge of drinks at £11.50, we also had a £1.10 difference on room service food, and the tray charge stated £3 in the room and the invoice was £4.05 – £13.65 difference.
Queried at reception the disputed costs were removed with no hassle. The price listed in the hotel room is different to that on invoice, so double check invoice given.

The hot water didn’t not come on at 6.00am.

We had booked a taxi the night before for 6.30am, as we waited 8 mins, we asked what time the taxi was coming, we was told the company had cancelled the booking and no one at the hotel had thought to rebook for us. Bit of stress.

Jersey war tunnels

The tunnels are located at the top of a small hill, you use bus route 28 to get there. The tunnels were informative, you are given an ID card and you can spot what happened to that real person on your way around seats are dotted throughout. It’s a tunnel with images and info boards throughout. The cost is £15 pp.

There is also a handy cafe at the top of the hill too.

Elizabeth Castle

La corbiere

St Catherines bay

To get around the island, Liberation Station was the main bus terminal located in St Helier. It cost £4.20 for two adults with no return available, for any bus to anywhere on the island.. the cost can rack up if going multiple places, but will work out cheaper than a hire car.
